Where it started ?
Tribesmen Training started on the West coast of Ireland in Galway. As a born and bred Galwegian, we are informed growing up about the local history extending back to the height of Celtic history in the area. There were 12 families or tribes that made up Galway as a center of trade and since as we have modernised pay tribute in our sporting culture by being referred to as the city of tribes or our teams in GAA or otherwise as the tribesmen.

I understood that I will likely not continue to be based in Galway as my business grows and as I pursue new experiences or educational progressions and as such I wanted to carry my heritage forward as I grow.
Hence, Tribesmen Training being the name of my personal business.
What is the motto of Tribesmen Training and what does it mean?
The motto of Tribesmen Training is a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
"Shallow men believe in luck and circumstance, Strong men believe in cause and effect"
I interpret this to mean that in each of us, we possess the potential to change our circumstances with deliberate effort.
Who is best fit for Tribsmen Training?
Many businesses target specific populations or goals, such as men or women, young or old or specific sporting athletes or weightloss as their target market. While I think that is often a good idea, my goal as a Strength, Conditioning and Personal Trainer is to help people, I am not comfortable limiting myself based off of abstract preferences.
I find it incredibly fulfilling to help both men and women, young athletes and those finalising their playing careers in their respective sports. Those that succeed consistently are those willing and able to make meaningful change within their existing routines or daily rituals to achieve their personal, physique or performance goals.
How do I see Tribesmen Training evolving?
As a personal training and strength & conditioning service much has changed since its humble beginnings. I have completed my Bsc in Applied Strength and Conditioning, with my diploma previously achieved, I am currently looking to achieve professional certification in nutrition and an international accreditation with the NSCA to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. It is my long term hope to return to research and complete my Msc and Phd, pursuing new training methodologies or considerations.
The business will expand further online with its aim to help more people beyond the local reach of Tribesmen Training here in Limerick. The service will expand to include a broader and more holistic approach to lifestyle, training and performance guidance.
I hope my background has been of interest to you and if theres any questions in particular I might be able to answer please do not hesitate to reach out to me and I will respond as swiftly as possible.
